A new expansion project is taking place on US Highway 101 in Skokomish WA just north of Shelton.  Lucky Dog Casino is adding 6,000 square feet to house a new dining room for NorthFork Grill, event space and administrative offices.  Lucky Dog Casino will also be adding 60 new gaming machines, bringing their total gaming machine count to over 260. More parking will be added directly behind the casino to accommodate additional vehicle traffic, including the creation of five RV spaces.

“This expansion will provide a great new environment for the NorthFork Grill as well as a much needed event space,” said Lucky Dog Casino General Manager, David Owens, “we envision some unique functions and entertainment for our players.”

Skokomish Indian Tribe’s Chief Executive Officer, Yvonne Oberly added, “Three years ago Lucky Dog Casino was reinvented.  It is fitting that this expansion will be completed in celebration of that occasion as well as its thirteenth year of operation.”

Guy Miller, Tribal Council Chairman said, “The expansion of Lucky Dog Casino is symbolic of the continued growth we have seen over the last few years in our businesses and as a tribe.”

Construction will get underway immediately by a team headed up by Swinerton Builders of Bellevue, WA and GroupWest Companies of Seattle, WA.  The project will move quickly with an expected opening of the additional gaming space in early Summer 2013 with the new dining room and event space opening later in the Summer.
